Vineyard Chateau Angelus, occupying 23.4 hectares, is located on clay-limestone soils. The average age of the vines is 30-35 years. Planting density - 7000 vines per hectare. Yields are limited, all work is done by hand.
Lactic acid fermentation takes place in small oak barrels.
The wine is aged 18-22 months in new oak barrels.
Wine of deep pomegranate-purple color. The taste of wine is well balanced, dense, deep, with fine-grained velvety tannins, plenty of freshness, fragrant fruit tones, blackberry notes and a long mineral finish with hints of sea salt and licorice. Intense, clear, refined aroma of the wine is filled blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, molten resin, graphite and floral notes.
